Welcome to Leading Ladies Global

Leading Ladies began in 2016 as a series on the radio hosted by Mehmooda Duke, interviewing guests including Baroness Sayeeda Warsi and Manjula Sood MBE. Many of the members of the Core Group below were interviewed in the 2018 series. Leading Ladies has now grown into a ‘hub’ of professional women who have come together to ‘make a difference’ and give back in a collaborative way. The women in the group who were either interviewed on the radio by Mehmooda or were part of the research team, were invited to be part of the bigger, long term, Leading Ladies vision. On the radio, each lady shared her unique and fascinating journey about how she achieved her goals and how she overcame obstacles, providing inspiration to women and girls worldwide. What became apparent was that each lady was already inspiring women and girls in their own way, individually. Following the success of the programme, the ladies made it their mission to work together to inspire other women and girls and to create a global community of confident women; women who are not afraid to dream and take action to make their dreams a reality. Leading ladies is all about ‘giving back across the generations’ recognising that we can inspire and be inspired by the generation before us and after us. We aim to bring the generations together, remembering that each generation has something to share with the other in equal measure. Members will be women and girls who share the vision and want to give back. Leading Ladies aims to ‘inspire with action’. It is a not for profit membership organisation.
