Jasmein Ayub – Leading Ladies Global

Jasmein studied for a PhD at Imperial College London and University College Oxford, gaining her doctorate in 1992. She secured a Junior Lectureship at the then Leicester Polytechnic (now De Montfort University) where she pursued a 16 year academic career in Chemistry.

In 2007 Jasmein qualified as a Landscape Architect following a career change. She has worked in various institutions during the last 12 years, including Preston City Council, Sheffield University Landscape Architecture Department and a number of private architectural practices. She gained chartered status in 2013.

Jasmein has mentored students and supported junior colleagues throughout her work life, most recently mentoring secondary school children for The Prince’s Trust.

Jasmein has supported many charitable causes, notably raising money for SCOPE by designing and building a show garden in 2003 at Gardener’s World Live and African children’s charities through the build of a show garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2004.

Jasmein has recently set up her own Landscape Architecture practice, ‘The Landscape Consultancy’.
